Australia Day 1: City Tour

2009-12-22

It was 8:00am in my watch and I thought I woke up early. I forgot that we have a different time zone. It is 3hrs advance here in Australia compared to Philippine time. So it was already 11:00am when we woke up and ate our breakfast. For our fist day, we had bacon and eggs with banana cake.

We went out to the city since it was the nearest place to go from where we are staying. It is burning hot under the sun while we were walking around the city since we went out at around 12:00nn. We rode a bus from our place then waited for the free city bus to take us to the Opera House and the Circular Quay and also got a view of the Harbor Bridge.

After that we went to the malls. We all want to hide from the sun so we decided to visit the malls of Australia. We went to Queen Victoria Building (QVB) then to Myers and David Jones. All of these malls are high end malls like Rockwell and Greenbelt in Manila.

We haven't taken our lunch yet because we had our breakfast at 11am. So basically we had brunch. When our stomach crumbled, we went to eat merienda in Segafredo. We had fries and milkshakes. Then we went to St. Mary's Cathedral after. It was the last stop we had for the day.

We went back to our house around 5:00pm because we cannot take the heat of the sun anymore. We will just be back to see the city lights at night after Tito Reg come home from the office. So we went home and took our dinner. Unfortunately, I realized that I lost my XWrap45 somewhere in the park going to the Cathedral. Ate Es told me that no one will get that and I will be able to retrieve it if I go back. Well, I didn't cry for that but I was a little bit disappointed. And so, I let go the feeling of regret.

After dinner, we went  back to the city for the display of lights in some of the buildings like the Library, the Barracks, etc. Sorry I don't remember all the names of the buildings we saw. But here's how the Cathedral looks like by night. Then I remember what Ate Es told me that I can retrieve my XWrap, so I went to walk around the park near the Cathedral and true enough, I saw my XWrap lying on the grass near the fountain. That was really cool. :)

We had a great first day in Australia. I also get to buy Maan's pabilin. I bought her that A'kin shampoo and conditioner in an organic store near the Woolworths Grocery store. I don't know how she knew about it since it was made and owned by Australia.

Anyways, for tomorrow? I think we're off to the beaches! (^_^)

Australian Adventure

I'll try my best to blog every adventure I make while I'm in Australia.

We will be celebrating our Christmas and New Year out of the country for the very first time. I will be with my mom and of course my extended family since birth. :)

As for starters, we are staying in Cammeray, New South Wales.

Word Press

A number of my friends tells me to migrate to WordPress since I'm still using blogger. I'm currently looking into it and tries to study how it works. I might launch it by next year so I still have a couple of days to figure it out. :)

I hope this time I'll get to blog more often. :p

Plants vs. Zombies

"I don't play PC games", that what I said before when I heard about the famous "Plants vs.. Zombies". However, after trying one game I ate my words. I am now officially addicted to it.

A lot of my friends are playing it and recently I heard that Mariel Rodriguez is also addicted to it. Hahaha! :)

I am still in level 4-2 and I have to got to restart the game 2x since the Zombies "ate my brains". hahaha!

Techniques please.. Besides the sunflowers and the peas, what plants should I plant? hehe. :p

Anyways, good luck to me and to those who are playing this game. :)

Magnolia and Manny

It sounds good pala! hehehe.. :) "Magnolia and Manny"!!! :p

Last Sunday Mr. Manny Pacquiao won his 7th boxing title. And today, as I walk in San Miguel Ave. in Ortigas, I was surprised to see the posters of Pacman all over the sidewalk of San Miguel Corporation building. It's just 2 days after the fight and then posters are there already?! Maybe that's what they call Marketing Strategy or Advertising?

Anyway, I took a picture of it since nobody's looking. :p (pero sinita ako ng guard after nyan, bawal pala yon.. sorry!).

Well, he really is a Champion. Congratulations Manny! :) Making all the Filipinos proud!!!

Red Mango

It was my first time to experience the yogurt craze last saturday during my lunch date with my CSC berks. We decided to eat in Red Mango since Reg liked it so much. I just ordered the small one with one topping since it's my first time and it's a bit pricey.

Since it's yogurt, the taste is a unusual for me at first. I came to like it after 2-3 scoops. :)

Today, I shared it with Andrew. He said he liked it too. ;)

Till my next discovery!
